My involvement in community based organizations started at age 15 at a youth group called Escucha in Dover NJ.

Outside of helping family, I’ve never found anything more rewarding than paying it forward and helping others in need in my community and beyond.

Nothing beats the feeling you get when you’ve made a positive impact on someone’s life!

It was so fun to show TV host Rafa around #Boston! I took him around Faneuil Hall and Chinatown. I love meeting new people and making them feel welcome in our city.

I think they definitely learned from us but they have no idea how much we learned from them! Inspired to continue to give back to our community every chance I get!

Happy International Women’s Day

To all the amazing women I know…Happy International Women’s Day.

I’m #inspiredby the most hard working woman I know. Her motivation has always been to help her family and anyone around her. She brings laughter and joy into any room she walks into.

Her can-do attitude is what makes me believe anything in life is possible.

She’s my wonder woman and the strength that keeps me going everyday.

Love you mom, sisters, aunts, grandmothers and cousins.

A mother gives her life, her heart and her everything…

Whenever I need to laugh, need a smile, need encouragement – she’s always the one.

A mother gives her life, her heart and her everything.

The least we can do is love her back and cherish her always.

Yesterday my mother reminded me of when I was 3 years old and we used to assemble pens at night to make money for the bills. My father at the time worked 3 jobs to help pay for all of our expenses and to survive. At the time we were living in poverty in a tiny basement in Brooklyn NY.

My mother taught me at a young age that persistence and determination can get you anything you want in life. She never doubted herself and never gave up.

I will cherish her always.
